KFDW Endorsements
Thank you for your willingness to run for public office and serve the people of Kansas. The Kansas Federation of Democratic Women (KFDW) proudly supports Democratic candidates who are working to strengthen our communities and advance Democratic values across the state.
Our members are dedicated activists who contribute their time, talent, and resources to help elect Democrats at every level. We encourage candidates to attend local chapter meetings and events to connect with members, share their message, recruit volunteers, and build support.
Endorsements and Contributions
KFDW:
- Endorses candidates after the August Primary.
- Makes campaign contributions during even-year General Election cycles.
- Supports candidates who advance women’s issues and reproductive freedom.
- Contributes to candidates running for statewide offices, the Kansas Legislature, and the State Board of Education.
- May consider endorsing countywide candidates.
Candidate Eligibility
Candidates seeking endorsement or financial support must:
- Be a registered Democrat.
- Be a KFDW member by the date of the primary election (exceptions may be considered where no local chapter exists within 50 miles).
- Demonstrate an active, organized campaign with fundraising and voter outreach efforts.
- Agree to be listed on KFDW communication platforms.
- Maintain respectful conduct toward fellow Democrats, candidates, and campaigns.
- Complete local and party vetting processes when applicable.
- Complete the Endorsement Form
Contribution Considerations
Contribution amounts are determined by the KFDW Executive Board and may consider:
- KFDW membership and involvement
- Candidate and campaign viability
- Competitiveness of the race
- Support for women’s leadership and issues
