Gov. Kathleen Sebelius Community Service Project
This project is sponsored by the Kansas Federation of Democratic Women (KFDW).
Democratic Women’s chapters in Kansas are invited to apply for a grant in the amount of
$250 to be used to fund a local service project. Suggestions include working with
schools, homeless shelters, food banks, women’s shelters, etc. Applications should be
submitted by May 1 each year. One grant of $250 will be awarded each year. The chapter
whose project is awarded will be announced at the KFDW Convention held in April
each year. The final evaluation form must be submitted to the Executive Committee of
KFDW by March 1 of the year following the award. The selected chapter is asked to
make a presentation about their project at the state KFDW convention. Please send
