KFDW NEWSLETTER
2026 MARCH NEWSLETTER
From the Presidents Desk
Progress has never come from silence or complacency. It comes from organized, principled action. The Kansas Federation of Democratic Women has long understood this, and it is why our work matters so deeply right now.
Across Kansas, Democratic women are showing up in their communities, at the ballot box, and in peaceful protest to defend democracy, bodily autonomy, and voting rights. These efforts are thoughtful, strategic, and essential.
In the months ahead, our federation will continue to support civic education, peaceful protest, voter engagement, and the amplification of women’s voices in every space where decisions are made. Whether you are organizing locally, mentoring new activists, or simply having hard conversations in your own circles, know that you are part of something larger and that your leadership matters.
Thank you for your resilience, your resolve, and your refusal to step back when the moment demands we step forward. Together, we are not just reacting to the times we are in. We are shaping what comes next.

Thank you for your continued leadership and resolve. Together, we are shaping what comes next.
In solidarity

RCDW helped to host the Reno County Democrats’ annual Chili Feed Saturday, January 31st.

The well-attended event featured guest speaker Chris Mann, candidate for attorney general. He outlined his priorities: enforce the law fairly without political influence, restore and strengthen consumer protections weakened under the current administration, rehire experienced staff lost after the last election, and hold insurance companies accountable.
THANK YOU Chris Mann!
He emphasized that key races besides governor include Insurance Commissioner and Secretary of State, and stressed that the attorney general’s office must be the “guardian” of the law. He expressed concern about recent legislation that conflicts with existing laws.

SPOTLIGHT on JEN DAY for Secretary of State

Jen Day is running for Kansas Secretary of State to protect our elections and defend democracy.
Voting should never be a partisan issue—it is a fundamental right and civic duty. Kansans deserve a safe, secure, transparent, and accessible voting system they can trust.
With 16 years of experience in business and entrepreneurship, and years of service as an election worker, volunteer with the League of Women Voters, and State Representative in the Kansas Legislature, I’ve seen our election system up close.
As Secretary of State, I will shut down disinformation, restore confidence, and protect every eligible Kansan’s right to vote – Jen Day
