KFDW NEWSLETTER

2025 KFDW NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

From the Presidents Desk

November brings colder weather and a break from electioning. Time to rest, regroup and visit with family and friends. Enjoy the season, the cider and nog, pine and cider smells, and all the happiness the holidays can bring. Remember next year we have the Governors race and representatives races to WIN! And Senator Roger Marshall to defeat.

We start in January with our new monthly series, “How to win in Kansas” starring all your representatives, past electeds & current elected as well as special guests.

On May 2nd, KFDW will be at the Topeka Country Club from 9-5 for our Annual Convention. Save the date – Information is upcoming.

And, in 2026 KFDW will also be at ALL the KDP Democracy Fests. We’re hoping you will join us.

Take a break, take a breath, and regroup. See you in 2026!

Cassie Woolworth, President
“Do as much as you can, as long as you can, then pass the baton and rest; We will need you tomorrow too!”

SPECIAL EVENTS

KFDW @ DEMOCRACY FEST – Dodge City, Kansas!

Dodge city was electric as all the candidates, officials, and community members came together to stand up for democracy! The Kansas Democratic Party hosted Democracy Fest in Dodge City, KS on October 11th. The Kansas Federation of Democratic Women showed up and showed out. Over 60 attendees gathered to discuss policies, best practices, and strategies for taking Kansas back.

WYCO 40 Years of GOVERNORS Event

President Cassie Woolworth and several WYCO Progressives attended the WYCO 40 years of Governors event and it was magnificent. With Laura Kelly, Kathleen Sebelius, Jill Docking, and John Carlin in attendance, the star power was stunning. They spoke of how Kansas has changed, and morphed into our new ‘republican’ state and how we’ve taken it back before. Our efforts won’t be in vain should we task our selves with winning Kansas.

Program Chair Needed

We are currently looking for Program Chair for KFDW’s board. Please contact Kat Hooley-Lickteig at kat.hooleylickteig@outlook.com if you are interested in Program Chair.
